Not just for Valentine’s Day <3

Updated: Mar 24, 2019

I’ve been seeing so many posts for Valentine’s Day-specific lingerie, and that in itself is the epitome of careless consumption. Intimates should be practical, long lasting and bought when needed. But Valentine’s Day season is a great time to take a look in your dresser drawers and ask, “Do I need a new bra and/or undies?”.

Organic bras, fair trade bras

Bras and underwear are one of our most used pieces of clothing we wear, because we wear them everyday (or almost everyday) and they’re bound to break down. Considering the quality of the materials is important. Choosing thicker fabrics that fit your body right can keep your bras and undies living out their ~intended~ long lives to protect your precious parts! Sometimes these parts are not only precious but sensitive. Wearing undies that are toxin-free and made from natural materials such as organic cotton or hemp can help protect from unwanted bacteria and limit the amount of moisture.

ethically made bra

All of Organic Basics‘ pieces are made from sustainable materials in a sustainable way. This organic cotton Triangle Bra is more like a bralette, in that it’s comfortable, stretchy, supportive, and cute! Bra’s are always difficult to shop for because every bra is different. This bra has a thick and firm band, with flexible stretchy cups that can easily mold to your body! I’ve had this bra for about 2 months and I’ve worn it non-stop, thus far the durability has been great! For free shipping to the USA follow this link!

sustainable bralettes

Basal has been a favorite of mine for the past year and a half! Standing the test of time due to their commitment of being made and designed in America, use of durable organic cotton, and the promise of using non-toxic dyes. I wear the Brewster Bralette all the time as a bra, shirt and, on hot days, to bed. I’ve been watching Basal grow with different styles and colors but I’m happy to see that their ~morals~ of using racially and physically diverse models hasn’t changed. Get 15% off by using “MORAL15

sustainable hemp underwear

Hemp is one of those super fabrics. It is naturally anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, and anti-oder…qualities that make up the underwear of your dreams! WAMA is GOTs Certified, which means they don’t use any toxic dyes or chemically treated hemp, and use certified Fair-Trade factories in China. These underwear are thick, comfortable, and cute. As you might have noticed, I’ve been putting a bigger emphasis on the durability of my clothes and these feel like these undies will stand the test of time; I’ve had my pair for about 4 months plus a few washes and they have held up really well so far.
